Who We Are

We are a group of sculpture and landscape architecture students at the Rhode Island School of Design in Providence, Rhode Island. We are enrolled in the interdisciplinary course Oystertecture: Creating (Sculptural) Shellfish Habitat. Throughout the course we will examine the issue of climate change and work towards solutions to create more shellfish habitat and community engagement with oysters and science in the state of Rhode Island. The studio is funded through The National Science Foundation's Experimental Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (EPSCoR), and partners with Roger Williams University, University of Rhode Island and the Nature Conservancy.

One of the first site research expeditions.
